Work begins on Overbrook fairgrounds arena

041114-overbrook-fair-fenceFair board members and supporters of the Overbrook Osage County Fair have begun work to remove the old fence around the fairgrounds arena, in preparation of building a new fence and larger arena, with the first work day last Saturday. April 12 is scheduled to be another work day at the arena, with plans to begin fundraising soon for the new fence. Sections of the fence are to be “sold” to allow businesses and organizations to place advertising on their section of fence. Working on setting one of the first new fence posts last week are, from left, Eric Finch, Tim Quaney, Ron Young and Luke Lang.
