U.S. 75 Project Update: Northbound lanes to reopen temporarily

All lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 75 from the U.S. Highway 56 junction in Osage County to Topeka Boulevard in Shawnee County are reopening to all traffic today, Friday, April 18.

Crews are currently removing traffic control and reopening the northbound lanes as the bridge approach pavement replacement work has been completed. Once all paving work on the southbound lanes has been completed, crews will then return to the northbound lanes to complete the overlay process on both lanes.

Kansas Department of Transportation reports the southbound U.S. 75 right lane from the U.S. 56 junction to Topeka Boulevard is still closed and will be closed throughout the project duration.

Project work includes milling one inch of existing pavement for both southbound lanes followed by a new two-inch asphalt overlay, along with bridge approach pavement replacement work.
