Ride the bus to sample all Kansas has to offer

042914-festivallogo2This is the last call for our special general public transportation bus trip to Wamego for the Kansas Sampler Festival on Saturday, May 3. This really is a big event, featuring products manufactured or grown only in Kansas. Besides the displays there are historical re-enactments, entertainment, fun games for all ages, and a variety of food tasting opportunities. Contact the senior center at 604 Market St., Osage City, or 785-528-4906, by Friday, May 2, for more information or to reserve a seat on the bus.

The signup sheet is also out for our May 22 evening supper trip to Luigi’s Italian Restaurant, in Ottawa. The bus will leave at 5:30 p.m.; a $3 transit donation is requested.

  • Friday May 2 – Bingo 10 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.
  • Monday May 5 – Sewing 8 a.m.; armchair exercise 11 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.; play pitch & eat 5:15 p.m., with cards beginning at 5:45 p.m.
  • Tuesday May 6 – Ceramics shopping trip 9:00 a.m.; Mexican Train games 1 p.m.
  • Wednesday May 7 – Sewing 8 a.m.; armchair exercise 11 a.m.; cribbage 12:15 p.m.
  • Thursday May 8 – Biscuits and gravy extravaganza 9 a.m.; art and painting class 9 a.m.; Wayne’s technology workshop 9:30 a.m.
