Kim M. Cousin, 53, Osage City: Dec. 23, 1960 – May 5, 2014

OSAGE CITY – Kim Michelle Cousin, 53, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at her parent’s home in Osage City.

She was born Dec. 23, 1960, in Emporia, the daughter of Donald “Ike” Dayne and Kay Anna (Curley) Garland. She graduated from Osage City High School in 1979.

Kim had worked as a pharmaceutical benefits representative for Veterans Administration, in Topeka.

She married Marvin M. Cousin on June 22, 1990, and divorced in 2011.

Kim was a member of the Flint Hills Baptist Church, in Osage City.

Survivors include two sons, Sultan Dayne Cousin, of Texas, and Malachi McLain Cousin, Osage City; her parents, Kay and Ike Garland, Osage City; a sister, Gete Treinen, Osage City; a brother, John Dayne Garland, Osage City; and a grandson, Dayton Dee Cousin, Osage City.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, May 9, at the Osage City Baptist Temple. A private burial will take place at Rapp Cemetery, west of Osage City.

Memorial contributions can be made to Midland Hospice or Flint Hills Baptist Church and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City, KS 66523.
