Clifford P. Hudson, 71, Osage City: March 26, 1943 – May 6, 2014

OSAGE CITY – Clifford Peter Hudson, 71, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Stormont Vail Hospital, in Topeka.

He was born March 26, 1943, in Prairie du Chien, Wis., the son of Clifford Leroy and Helen Catherine (Mikel) Hudson. 

He had worked as a welder and mechanic on highway and heavy equipment until medical retirement in 1983.

He married Rachael Satterfield on August 17, 1969, in Englewood, Colo. Nine years ago, Clifford and Rachael moved to Osage City from Louviers, Colo.

Survivors include his wife, Rachael, of the home; a daughter, Rachael Catherine Dove, Osage City; a sister, Rita Mitchell, Lakewood, Colo.; three brothers, Paul Hudson and Patrick Hudson, both of Denver, and Philip Hudson, Wasilla, Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jean DiBari; a baby brother, Michael Hudson, and son-in-law, James Dove III.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, in Osage City. Burial will follow the service at Osage City Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
