Celebrate Shakespeare’s 450th birthday at Ottawa

William Shakespeare 450th birthday was in April and ACT Ottawa is bringing his Midsummer Night’s Dream to Ottawa this spring.

Ottawa’s community theater has planned performances with a curtain time of 7 p.m. on May 23, 24, 30 and 31, at Larry Peter’s Auditorium at Ottawa University, with an extra matinee planned for 3 p.m. May 25.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of Shakespeare’s best-loved comedies, in which humans, lost in dark woods overnight, are tricked and otherwise meddled with by a band of powerful fairies.
