Tuckers celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

051214-anni-tuckers-50thDick and Karen Tucker, of Bonner Springs, Kan., are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Dick married Karen Mayfield on May 16, 1964, at Christ The King Catholic Church, in Wichita, Kan.

Mr. and Mrs. Tucker have two children: Cindy (Chris) Ross, of Westwood, Kan., and Christine (Wes) Ray, of Waunakee, Wis. They have three grandchildren: Nathan Ross, a sophomore at Kansas State University College of Architecture, Kathryn Ross, a senior at Shawnee Mission East High School, and Sydney Ray, a second grader at Arboretum Elementary School.

Dick and Karen lived in Osage City, Kan., from the time they were married until 1992 when they moved to Bonner Springs. They retired together from Hallmark Cards in 1998 and have enjoyed traveling to Texas over the winter months and taking shorter trips in the summer and fall.
