Lois Nadine Wagner, 77, Melvern: Feb. 27, 1937 – May 18, 2014

MELVERN – Lois Nadine Wagner, 77, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at her home in Melvern, Kan. She was born on Feb. 27, 1937, in Topeka, Kan., the daughter of Willard and Margaret Kelch Sims.

Lois had lived in Burlingame for many years before moving to Melvern four years ago.

She had worked as a seamstress, working at the Burlingame Sewing Factory for many years, and then at the Venture department store. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Vassar.

On Sept. 15, 1952, Lois was married to William Dean Wagner, in Topeka.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband William on April 18, 1973, and by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Rucker.

She is survived by her four sons, Lewis Wagner (Sharon), Portland, Ore., David Wagner (Sheryl), New Port Richey, Fla., Frank Wagner, Melvern, and Robert Wagner (Kathy), Odessa, Mo.; four daughters, Carol Berry, Lawrence, Lois Register (Terry), Brandon, Fla., Margaret Ali (Mohamid), Chicago, Ill., and Elizabeth Eissler (Loren), Lyndon; a sister, Sharon Vawter (James), Scranton; a brother-in-law, Leonard Rucker, Burlingame; and 25 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lois will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Vassar. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until service time. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the West Lawn Cemetery in Topeka.
