Kansas Army National Guard Band to perform at Osage City

The 35th Infantry Division Band of the Kansas Army National Guard, under the direction of Chief Warrant Officer Stephen J. Patterson, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. June 17, in the Osage City High School auditorium. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

Presented by the Osage City Area Arts Council, the “Governor’s Own” band will present a concert of patriotic music including military marches, big band selections and a special salute to veterans and their families.

The band has performed extensively throughout the Midwestern United States, and traveled as musical ambassadors for the Department of State on three international tours. Headquartered in Olathe, Kan., the band is composed of citizen-soldier musicians from Kansas and Missouri. It performs as a marching band or concert band, as well as jazz, rock, vocal or classical ensembles. Osage City has had the good fortune of having the band perform for the last several years.

Everyone is invited to attend this home front concert and asked to bring family, friends, neighbors and anyone else who would enjoy a good band concert.
