New schedule for free blood pressure, health checks

Osage County Senior Center Director Byron Jordan

BLOOD-PRESSURE-CUFF-02The evening bus trip to Luigi’s Restaurant in Ottawa was a big success. The bus was actually full for the first time in quite a long time. We need this to happen more often. The next evening supper trip will be on June 19 to Guy & Mae’s Tavern, in Williamsburg, for their famous barbecue. The bus will leave at 5:30 p.m.; a transit donation of $3 per rider is requested. Please call 785-528-4906 or stop by the Osage County Senior Center, 604 Market St., Osage City, for more information.

PRN Home Health & Hospice has requested a schedule change for the free blood pressure health checks they have been doing on the third Friday of each month for years. They will be doing the health checks on birthday dinner day for the time being, which is the third Wednesday of each month. The tentative time frame for this activity will be towards the end of lunch.
