Severe thunderstorm warning for Osage County Sunday night

The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern Lyon County, Osage County, southern Shawnee County, southeastern Wabaunsee County until 10:45 p.m.

At 9:53 p.m. severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Keene to Harveyville to Reading and moving east at 35 mph. Hazard: 70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. Source radar indicated. Impact: Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes roofs and outbuildings. Locations impacted include Osage City, Carbondale, Topeka, Reading, Burlingame, Auburn, Scranton, Lyndon, Melvern, Pomona Lake, Overbrook, Quenemo, Harveyville, and Richland. This includes the Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 151 and 170.
