With fall just around the corner, Osage County is beginning to plan community garage sales.
At Osage City, citywide garage sales will be Sept. 19-20, and the Osage City Chamber of Commerce will be printing a map of sales as a fundraiser for the group’s scholarship fund.
A $5 donation is requested for listing a name and address on the map, with a deadline of Sept. 12 for a listing. To have a sale listed on the sale map, contact Jodi Smith, map coordinator, at 785-528-5095, or Casey’s General Store in Osage City.
Funds are used for scholarships for graduating Osage City High School seniors. For more information about Osage City’s citywide garage sales, contact Smith.
Towns in Osage County that have scheduled citywide garage sales, dates and contact person include:
- Burlingame – Sept. 6, Ron Shaffer, 785-654-3596
- Osage City – Sept. 19-20, Jodi Smith, Vintage Park, 785-528-5095.
In addition to listing sales on local maps, garage salers are invited to post their own sale ads on Osage County News. As always, there is no charge for place-your-own ads on the County Comment page. Click here to place your free ad.
Edited Sept. 1, 2014, to delete information about Overbrook’s citywide sales.
I'm unsure why Overbrook is listed here, but we are not hosting a city-wide garage sale on Sept. 27. We only host the spring city-wides.
