Harold Lake, 69, Carbondale: Sept. 27, 1947 – Dec. 13, 2016

CARBONDALE, Kan. – Harold Lake, 69, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at his home in Carbondale, Kan. He was born on Sept. 27, 1947, in Topeka, Kan., the son of Leroy and Edna Newton Lake.

Harold had lived in Topeka and then in Joplin, Mo., for several years. He had lived in Carbondale for the past 47 years.

Harold served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He was a truck driver and had worked for Lawrence Freight Line.

On Dec. 23, 1966, Harold was married to Pamela Overstreet, in Oskaloosa, Kan.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Edna.

Harold is survived by his wife, Pamela, of the home; a son, Patrick Lake, of New York; a daughter, Jeanna Lake, of Vermont; three brothers, Ronald Lake, Dean Lake and Michael Lake; four sisters, Marilyn Turnage, Doris Baker, Sharon Coffman and Rita Hendricks; and five grandchildren, two God children and two adopted grandchildren.

Harold was cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date. Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon is assisting the family. See feltnerfuneralhome.com.
