CARBONDALE, Kan. – Amber Nicole Dixon-Born, 36, of Carbondale, Kan., passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at Via Christi St. Francis, in Wichita, Kan. She was born Feb. 19, 1981, in Columbus, Kan., the daughter of Darrell L. and Dawn Bowen Dixon.
Amber attended Topeka High School, Topeka, Kan., and graduated with the class of 1999. She worked for Sunflower Supports as a caregiver in group homes for developmental and physically challenged individuals. She had been employed there for the past 10 years.
Amber was joined in marriage to William J. “Bill” Born on Aug. 18, 2007, in Ottawa, Kan.
She will live on in the hearts of her husband, Bill, of their home; her mother, Dawn, Topeka; stepdaughter, Lillith Born, of the home; stepson Nicholas Born of the home; and half sister, Crystal Dixon Wheeler, El Dorado, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Darrell, and a brother, Brandon.
