Thelma ‘Jeane’ Lindburg, 79, Weston, Mo.: Oct. 21, 1940 – March 31, 2020

OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Thelma “Jeane” Lindburg, daughter of  Clarence Zimmerman and Minnie (Rhodelander) Zimmerman, was born Oct. 21, 1940, in Buffalo, Mo., and departed this life March 31, 2020. She was 79 years old.

Jeane was reared and attended school at Buffalo, Mo. She was a past president of FOE Eagles 47 and a member of Eastern Star Lodge No. 196, in Weston, Mo.

Jeane was united in marriage to Edwin Lindburg on Sept. 20, 1963, in Kansas City, Mo. The union between them combined three children. All survive her.

Jeane worked for Bremson Photo as a supervisor for 23 years. She also worked for Discount Rental in Kansas City, Mo., and Myrtle Beach, S.C., for 11 years as a corporate member. She loved sewing, sports, playing cards, and spending time with her family. Jeane was known as being a loving matriarch.

Jeane was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Minnie; her husband, Edwin; eight brothers, John, Jack, Marvin, Lloyd, Floyd, Charlie, Claude, and Hershel; and two sisters, Betty and Bethel.

She is survived by her daughters, Serena Bogart (Michael Sr.), of Weston, Mo., and Cindi Hickman (Jim), Federal Way, Wash.; son, Danny Lindburg (Dana), Taveras, Fla.; six grandchildren, Carrie, Ashley, Michael Jr., Brianne, Jennifer, and Justin; eight great-grandchildren; aunt, Wilma Tosatto, Independence, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jeane will be laid to rest next to her husband, Edwin, in Osage City, Kan., with a small gathering on Saturday, April 4, 2020. Due to the current situation we will be unable to have a public funeral but will have a celebration of life after the world has some normalcy.
