Senior Center: Bargain hunters invited to thrift sale, Sept. 16-19

The Osage County Senior Center is planning another thrift sale, which will be Sept. 16-19, 2020. Everyone is invited to come in to shop for bargains and help out the center.

The Sewing Chicks would like to remind everyone that they have twin size quilts for sale at the senior center and a lot of other items. They accept donations of material and sheets. They support nonprofit organizations with monetary donations and items they make.

Commodities are distributed the second Wednesday of every month at the senior center. You must be at least 60 years old to qualify, with a monthly income of $1,354 or less for one person or $1,832 or less for two people in the same household. Income verification is required. The one-month waiting period is required because orders are made a month in advance. Anyone in Osage County is eligible and they meet the above qualifications.

Anyone with more people in the household is asked to contact the senior center for help with determining if they qualify. Anyone unable to come to Osage City to pick up commodities is asked to notify the senior center.
