Commodities are distributed at the Osage County Senior Center on the second Wednesday of every month.
To qualify for the commodities, recipients must be at least 60 years old with an income of $1,354 or less for one person, or $1,832 for two people in the same household. Income verification and a one-month waiting period are required. The waiting period is due to ordering a month in advance. Anyone in Osage County is eligible if they meet the above qualifications.
Anyone unable to come to Osage City and pick up commodities is asked to contact the senior center, as the center would like to know if there are people in Osage County that qualify but cannot travel to Osage City to pick up commodities. Anyone with more people in their household is also asked to contact the center to determine eligibility.
