Jimmie R. Kebert, 66, Overbrook: Sept. 9, 1954 – Dec. 16, 2020

OVERBROOK, Kan. – Jimmie R. Kebert, 66, of Rural Overbrook, Kan., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at his home with his companion, Debbie Lavis, by his side. Jimmie was born Sept. 9, 1954, in Topeka, Kan., the son of Harman and Pearl (Liggett) Kebert.

He graduated from Topeka High School in 1972. 

He married Debra Evans, they later divorced.

Jimmie worked at Hills Pet Nutrition for more than 40 years as a senior technician. He was a member of the First Free Methodist Church. He loved the outdoors, traveling and spending time with his family.

Jimmie is survived by his mother, Maxine Kebert, of Topeka; his companion, Debbie Lavis; two sons, Danny Kebert, Topeka, and Joseph W. (Kimberly) Kebert, Lowell, Ark.; brother, Bobby Kebert, Milford, Kan.; sister, Carol Millar, Neodesha, Kan.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at the First Free United Methodist Church, 3450 SE Indiana St., Topeka. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home.
