LAWRENCE, Kan. – Ann Margaret Thompson Lindbloom, 51, Lawrence, Kan., passed away March 15, 2021, due to unforeseen complications after surgery. Ann was born Dec. 2, 1969, in Emporia, Kan., the daughter of Judy and David Thompson.
Ann graduated from Burlingame High School, Burlingame, Kan., in 1988. She earned a BS in psychology at Emporia State University, magna cum laude with honors. She later earned a Master’s in Social Entrepreneurship, from Fort Hays State University.
Ann worked for institutes of higher education including Allen Community College and the University of Kansas.
Survivors include three children, Jerynn, Dany, and Caiden Lindbloom, Lawrence; her partner, Trent Georgie, Lawrence; her parents, David and Judy Thompson, Burlingame; four siblings JB/Jan and Chris Zwilling, Scranton, Kan., EJ and Sharon Thompson, Burlingame, Laura and Craig Hanna, Los Angeles, Calif., and Dave and Amity Thompson, Manhattan, Kan.; ex-husband Jarrod Lindbloom, Lawrence; and 14 nephews and nieces, and two great-nieces.
A remembrance of Ann will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at the Burlingame Schuyler Community Center, 117 S. Dacotah St., Burlingame. Face masks and social distancing are respectfully encouraged, and guests may bring photos or stories to the remembrance.
