OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Benjamin Dale Steen, 75, died March 16, 2021, at his home. He was born Dec. 20, 1945, to Alfred H. and Esther L. “Willits” Steen.
He graduated from Osage City High School in 1963.
He was a United States Marine Corps combat wounded veteran, who fought in the battle of Hue City during the 1968 Tet Offensive. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant. After his discharge, most of his life was spent as a self-employed entrepreneur.
Survivors include his brother, Neil Steen; sister, Phyllis Lawless; and nephews, Patrick and Kelly Lawless. He was preceded in death by his parent; sister, Rena Irwin; and nephews, Kirk Irwin and Clancey Lawless.
