OVERBROOK, Kan. – A Topeka man was arrested on drug charges Wednesday after a single-car accident east of Overbrook, Kan.
The Osage County Sheriff’s Office reported that about 4 p.m. March 24, 2021, a deputy was dispatched to a one-vehicle non-injury accident near milepost 412 on U.S. Highway 56, about a mile east of Overbrook. Upon arrival, the deputy located a vehicle that had gone through a ditch and stopped in a field, driven by Robert T. Lewis, 39, Topeka.
During the investigation, a K-9 was deployed and alerted on the vehicle, and illegal narcotics were subsequently located inside. Lewis was arrested and transported to the Osage County Jail on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a valid driver’s license.
