OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Dorothy Evelyn Tucker, 92, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at the Osage Nursing Center, Osage City, Kan. She was born on April 1, 1929, in Murfreesboro, Tenn., the daughter of William and Lela (Reed) Davis.
Dorothy grew up in Tennessee, where she graduated from high school in 1947. She had lived in Osage City for more than 50 years. Dorothy had worked at Osage Manor as a housekeeper for 21 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Osage City.
On Nov. 11, 1950, Dorothy was united in marriage to Johnnie Tucker, in Clarksville, Tenn. To this union three sons were born, Ronald, Michael and Fred.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie, on Feb. 4, 2005; son, Fred Tucker, Dec. 9, 2017; two brothers, Charles Davis and Aubrey Davis; and two sisters, Mary Davis and Willie May Davis.
Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Ronald Tucker and his wife, Zona, and Michael Tucker, all of Osage City; two granddaughters, Karen (Darrell) Willcut, of Richmond, Kan., and Bobbie Jo (Michael) Huntzinger, Towanda, Kan.; and four great-granddaughters, Aryanna Smith, Emily Willcut, Olivia Huntzinger and Aubrey Huntzinger.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday, May 7, at Osage City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon, and then go in procession to the cemetery.
