Osage County General Public Transportation has received approval from Kansas Department of Transportation to change from donation-based service to a fee or fare-based service.
Effective July 1, 2021, passengers or riders will need to have the correct fee or fare. Change will not be available. The fee must be paid prior to transporting. Riders are asked to make arrangements prior to their appointment date.
Coupons will be available.
One-way trips will be charged the same as door to door. Example: If you want transported to a doctor appointment in Topeka and then ride home with a family member or friend, the trip charge will be the same.
Caregivers will not be expected to pay when going with their charge.
Signature page of the passenger handbook will need to be on file before July 1, 2021.
To be considered for reduced price for seniors 60 or older or disabled, riders must show driver’s license for proof of age, or show proof of income for disability discount (or copies).
The new fee schedule can be seen here.
