LAWRENCE, Kan. – Matthew Glenn Voigt, 46, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at his home in Lawrence, Kan. He was born Aug. 27, 1974, in Topeka, Kan., the son of Wayne Voigt and Karen Cain Pickett.

Matthew had grown up in Tecumseh and Burlingame, Kan., where he had lived since 1984. He graduated from Burlingame High School in 1992. He had lived in Lawrence for the last 15 years.

Matthew was a supervisor at General Dynamics Information Technologies, in Lawrence. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Matthew is survived by his mom and stepdad, Karen and John Pickett, of Burlingame; his dad and stepmom, Wayne Voigt and Sharon Booth, Topeka; brother, Wade Voigt, Lawrence; and three step-siblings, Kurt (Shelly) Pickett, Topeka, Kim (David) Hibbert, Auburn, Kan., and Keith (Lisa) Pickett, Augusta, Kan.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at Burlingame Cemetery, Burlingame.
