SCRANTON, Kan. – George “Clift” Horsley, Jr., 66, of Scranton, Kan., and formerly of Alabama, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Stormont Vail Hospital. Clift was born the son of George Sr. and Margaret W. (Cavin) Horsley, on June 24, 1954, in Decatur, Ala.

He married Polly Jones, Aug. 9, 2019, in Alabama.

Clift was a longtime facilities manager for hospital operations in Alabama. He loved to fish, being at the sea, and spending time with his family, which was his greatest joy.

Survivors include his wife, Polly; son, William Horsley (Natalie); daughter, Lara Gaines (Tim); four grandchildren, Emma, Tucker, and Reed Gaines, and Annie Horsley; stepson, David Jones and his three children, Scott, Garrett and Skyler Jones; and stepdaughter, Stacia Jones. He also leaves behind many dear friends and coworkers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Margaret Carrington.
