GARDEN CITY, Kan. – Kathryn Price, 84, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021, at Kearny County Hospital, Lakin, Kan. She was born Aug. 13, 1936, in Leavenworth, Kan., the daughter of Myrle and Mayme Henshaw.

She was a retired from working as a cook in school districts and many restaurants in Garden City and Melvern, Kan. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her two daughters, Margie Beatty, Burlingame, Kan., and Connie (Larry) Holsted, Garden City; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, John, Ray, Russell, Bob and Jim; three sisters, Maxine, Chris, and Marion; daughter, Marilyn Fraze; and granddaughter, Heather Clepper Becker.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, with the family present 5-8 p.m. at Price & Sons Funeral Home.
