BURLINGAME, Kan. – Kathy A. Price, 60, passed away Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at Stormont Vail Regional Health, Topeka, Kan. Kathy Ann Price was born Aug. 5, 1961, in Baton Rouge, La., the daughter of Melvin Leroy and Dolores Ann (Orgeron) Price.

She was joined in marriage to Stephen Vandruff, on July 7, 2001, in Leavenworth, Kan. They made their home on a farm southwest of Burlingame, Kan.

Kathy was a truck driver. She had a love for dogs and she rescued several dogs. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking. She was very kind and never met a stranger.

She will be forever remembered by her husband, Stephen, of the home; three daughters, Stacey Williams, Burlingame, Casey Davis, Burlingame, and Nora Lawrence, DeSoto, Kan.; a son, Jeremy Price, Breaux Bridge, La.; three sisters, Debbie Bourgeois, of Louisiana, Roxanne Munger, Osage City, Kan., and Melinda Price-Bedi, of Mississippi; a brother, Jerry Orgeron, of Louisiana; two half-brothers, Leon Lemoin and Vincent Lemoin, both of Louisana; and seven grandchildren.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Beverly Brecheen; and three brothers, Randy, Ronnie and Craig Price.

A celebration of life graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, on the family farm southeast of Burlingame. Family can pay respects 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, Osage City.
