Goldie L. Adams, 104, Lyndon: Aug, 2, 1917 – Sept. 17, 2021

LYNDON, Kan. – Goldie L. Adams, 104, passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at Vintage Park, Osage City, Kan. She was born Aug, 2, 1917, in Rantoul, Kan., the daughter of William and Rhoda Boling Jones.

Goldie had lived in Paola, Kan., and then in Lyndon, Kan., for more than 50 years. She had lived in Osage City since 2018.

Goldie was a homemaker most of her life, and was a member of the Lyndon United Methodist Church.

On Dec. 16, 1939, Goldie was united in marriage to William Arthur Adams, in Pomona, Kan. To this union four children were born, Larry, Patricia, Letha and Cynthia.

Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, on April 25, 1994; son, Larry Adams, on June 9, 2014; parents, William and Rhoda; four brothers, David (Effie) Jones, William “Billy” (Claris) Jones, Ervie Jones and Bert (Phyllis) Jones; and sister, Bessie (Roy) Pearce.

Goldie is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Schulz (Glenn Jones), of Pomona, Letha (Ron) Conway, Lyndon, and Cynthia Decker (Craig Pugh), Lyndon; daughter-in-law, Linda Adams, Kearney, Mo.; grandchildren, Becky (Jeff) Waddell, Karen (Sam) Sydow, Codi (Steve) Adkison, Wendy (Brad) Whitford, Kasey (Brett) Stegall, Shanan (Rob) Roling, Suzet Nelson (Ryan Ellsworth), Monica (Martin) Williams, Nathan (Whitney) Decker, Andrea Decker (Andre Maupin); and 37 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon. Private family burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona.
