Michael Wayne McAnarney, 62, Raleigh, N.C.: March 11, 1959 – Sept. 24, 2021

RALEIGH, N.C. – Michael Wayne McAnarney passed away Sept. 24, 2021, in Raleigh, N.C. Mike was born March 11, 1959, in Topeka, Kan.

He grew up in Osage City, Kan., and attended Osage City schools. He graduated from Osage City High School in 1977. He attended the University of Kansas, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Land Use and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning. He spent his career in retail real-estate with various companies and as an independent broker. He lived in Raleigh since 1988.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother Jon.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen, and their five daughters, Eileen, Katharine, Casey, Jenny and Meghan; his siblings and their families, Kathy McAnarney Terrill and Dan Terrill and nephews, Brian, Connor and Kevin, Mark and Amy McAnarney and nephews Matt and Josh, and Jeff and Maureen McAnarney and niece Abby and nephew Ryan.

A private family Mass will be held on Friday, Oct. 1, at Saint Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church.
