OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Robert Allen Zimmerman, 31, of Osage City, Kan., passed away Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Topeka, Kan. Robert was born Feb. 20, 1990, in Topeka.
At the time of his passing, he worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber as a tire builder. Robb loved his family and family gatherings; he especially loved sitting with the older generations listening to their stories. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and woodworking. He loved riding his motorcycle and mudding in his truck. He lived life to the fullest, as if each day were his last. He was loving, kind, generous, helpful, and had never met a stranger.
Robert met his best friend and soul mate, Autumn Zimmerman (Woodyard), on Oct. 12, 2014. They married on June 27, 2015.
Robert is survived by his wife, Autumn, and son, Sheamus McGuigan, both of Osage City; his mother, Cathy Colpitts (Rardin), Topeka; father, Karl Zimmerman, and his mom, Denise Zimmerman, Osage City; two sisters, Elizabeth Colpitts Roberts and Jennifer Hoover, and two brothers, James Colpitts and Michael Colpitts, all of Topeka; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Marriam Zimmerman and William and Mary Rardin.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene, 3501 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka.
Thank you for the outpouring of prayers, love, support and flowers. Since Robert never had children of his own, he always thought of Sheamus as his son. With that in mind, the family requests any memorial contributions to go towards Sheamus’ future education. Memorial contributions can be made payable to Sheamus McGuigan or Edward Jones, and mailed to the family at 736 Holliday St., Osage City, KS 66523. Condolences can be emailed to robbautumnzimmerman@outlook.com.
