LYNDON, Kan. – Ann Bowen Goldsmith, 93, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at her home near Lyndon, Kan. She was born Aug. 18, 1928, in Jena, Texas, the daughter of James Newton and Ada Elizabeth (Craft) Bowen.
Ann grew up in Texas and had lived on farms around Lyndon since 1949.
Ann was a homemaker, a bowling instructor, and artist of paints and had owned her own art store in Lyndon. She was also always a very active part of the farm work. She had been a member of the Osage County Historical Society and other community social groups through the years.
On March 19, 1949, Ann was united in marriage to Raymond Goldsmith, in Bel Falls, Texas.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ada; two brothers, Harold and Sonny; and two sisters, Marie and Helen.
Ann is survived by her husband, Raymond, of nearly 73 years; sister, Beatrice Cholett, Temple, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Lyndon Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, at Lyndon United Methodist Church. The family asks that masks be worn.
