OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Carol A. Thompson, 88, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at Peterson’s Assisted Living, Osage City, Kan. Carol Aileen Patterson was born Dec. 22, 1933, in Melvern, Kan., the daughter of Alfred and Blanche (Lumsden) Patterson.

She graduated from Melvern High School in 1952.

Carol was joined in marriage to Howard Orville Thompson, May 3, 1952. To this union, three boys were born, Scott, Troy and Clark. She was a homemaker for her family.

She was a very active member of the Osage City First United Methodist Church. Carol was a member of the United Methodist Women and helped out everywhere she could for the church.

Carol will be forever remembered by her husband, Howard; three sons, Scott (Diana) Thompson, Troy (Kym) Thompson and Clark (Lori) Thompson, all of Osage City; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; three brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, Osage City. Family will receive friends an hour before service. Burial will follow at the Osage City Cemetery.
