The Osage County Sheriff’s Office reported it is investigating a single-vehicle accident that occurred around 8 p.m. May 3, 2022, near Overbrook, and severely injured a Berryton man.

The sheriff’s office reported local emergency personnel were dispatched at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday to the accident in the 12900 block of South Shawnee Heights Road, near Overbrook. At the scene it was found that a 1999 Ford Econoline van driven by Thomas A. Dunn, 75, of Berryton, had left the roadway for unknown reasons and overturned. Dunn was transported by Osage County EMS to Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka, and in critical condition.

Osage County Sheriff’s deputies, Osage County EMS, and Osage County Fire District No. 4 were dispatched to the scene. The sheriff’s office is investigating the accident.
