Shirley Ann Danielson, 86, Topeka: June 8, 1935 – May 28, 2022

TOPEKA, Kan. – Shirley Ann Danielson, 86, of Topeka, Kan. passed away peacefully May 28, 2022, at home. She was born June 8, 1935, in Mayetta, Kan., the daughter of David Stewart and Juanita (Anderson) Stewart.

She grew up in Mayetta, and graduated from Mayetta High School with the class of 1953.

On February 14, 1965, Shirley was united in marriage to Svenbjorn B. Danielson, in Topeka.  They shared more than 50 years of marriage.

Shirley worked as an insurance adjuster at Hussey & Hussey for many years. Later in life she worked as an assistant at Carbondale State Bank. She loved to cook for her family and always had homemade cookies on hand. She collected porcelain dolls, crocheted, and made ceramics and wedding cakes. She gifted many family members and friends with her talented creations.

She was an active member of Overbrook Bible Church, Overbrook, Kan. She loved to sing and worship, and often played the guitar for church services.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, David and Juanita Stewart, her husband, Svenbjorn Danielson, and a sister, Vicki Cornelius (Alan).

She is survived by her seven children, Bruce Danielson (Laura), Topeka, Ricky Danielson, Topeka, Deanna Danielson (Denise), Arizona, Toni Danielson, Topeka, Kevin Danielson, California, Audrey Danielson (Chuck), Eskridge, Kan., and Bjorn Danielson (Staci), Gardner, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patty Pasley (Clyde) and Judy Foga (Dennis); and five brothers, Keith Stewart (Lea), Larry Stewart (Dianna), Glen Stewart (Joan), Tommy Stewart (Kaye), and David Stewart (Lou).

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 2, at the Overbrook Bible Church, 717 Western Heights Drive. The family will greet friends at the church prior to the service starting at 10 a.m.
