Senior Center News: Scheduling part-time pursuits for full-time fun

There is always something going on at Osage County Senior Center, with regularly scheduled activities five days a week. The center is open to people of all ages. For more information, stop by 604 Market St., Osage City, Kan., or call 785-528-1170.

The senior center hosts a monthly potluck dinner at noon on the first Wednesday of each month. The next planned dinner is 12 p.m. Sept. 7, 2022, with musical entertainment planned afterward.

Osage County Public Transportation is available for anyone who needs a ride. For more information about OCPT or to schedule a ride, call 785-528-4906.

Here is the center’s regular weekly activities schedule, subject to change.

  • Monday-Friday: 9-10 a.m. exercise class; 12:30-2:30 p.m. Mexican Train games, players bring a snack if they like.
  • Monday: 8 a.m.-12 p.m. sewing; 9-11 a.m. painting; 5:30 p.m. pitch, players bring a snack if they like.
  • Wednesday: 8 a.m.-12 p.m. sewing.
  • Thursday: 9-11 a.m. painting.
