PAOLA, Kan. – Jerry Lee Yockey, 81, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Overland Park, Kan. He was born Jan. 14, 1941, in Osage City, Kan., the son of Floyd and Ruth (Griffin) Yockey.

Jerry grew up in Quenemo, Kan., and had lived in Topeka and Eskridge, Kan. He had been in Paola, Kan., for the last 29 years.

Jerry had graduated from Kansas State University and was a member of the ROTC while there.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ruth.

He is survived by his two sisters, Barabara Powell and husband, John, of Osage City, Kan., and Carolyn Shotwell and husband, David, of Lebanon, Mo.

Private family memorial services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kan.
