Dustyn James Green, 31, Pomona: Feb. 23, 1992 – Feb. 27, 2023

POMONA, Kan. – Dustyn James Green, 31, passed away Feb. 27, 2023, in Scranton, Kan. He was born Feb. 23, 1992, in Lawrence, Kan., the son of Jim and Tammy (Ferrell) Green.

Dustyn graduated from Ottawa High School in 2010, studied psychology at Ottawa University, and was working on a Bachelor’s of Business Administration at the American Intercontinental University. He had worked jobs in landscape and construction, but he loved the work in architecture and computers. He was currently working at JM Smuckers, Topeka, Kan., and had started his own online business, Remote Life-Outdoors. He had been a member of the Mt. Pleasant Community Church, Lyndon, Kan., and the First Southern Baptist Church, Ottawa, Kan.

Dustyn was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Gracie Green; maternal grandfather, Jack Ferrell; aunt, Terry Lynn Green; and uncle, Marty Ferrell.

Dustyn is survived by his son, Zakai James Green Neuman; parents, Jim and Tammy Green, Pomona, Kan.; five siblings, Jennifer (Ryan) Eiche, Wellsville, Kan., Brittney (Paul Farrar) Green, Wellsville, Austin Green, Pomona, Hannah (Riley) Browning, Ottawa, and Alex Green, Pomona; nieces and nephews, LeeDena (Ian) Scrimsher, Damen, Dayja, Deacon Eiche, Aaliyah Alana Green, Marley and Emmett Green, and Rayden Rhett Browning; maternal grandmother, Sharon Ferrell; and aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 10, at the Mt. Pleasant Community Church, 26075 S. Berryton Rd., Lyndon, southeast of Lyndon. The family will receive friends 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, at Feltner Funeral Chapel, Lyndon, Kan. Cremation will follow services and inurnment will be in the Vassar Cemetery at a later date.
