OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Eldon Ray Croucher, 71, of Osage City, Kan., passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka, Kan.
Eldon was born on July 2, 1951, in Emporia, Kan. to Kenneth Leon and Delpha Maye Butterfield Croucher. He grew up in Osage City, graduating from Osage City High School in 1969.

Eldon’s proudest position he worked in, however, was serving in the United States Army, from which he retired from as master sergeant in 2011. He was proud to be a veteran, and his country and family were two of the most important parts of his life. The best things in life were also the simplest.
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Delpha Croucher; and sister, Lynda Caldwell.
He is survived by his brothers, Donald Croucher and James Croucher; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, Osage City. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at the chapel. Private burial will take place following services, where Eldon will be laid to rest on his family farm.
