As the Smoke in the Spring barbecue competition fires up at Jones Park on Saturday, April 8, 2023, the weekend barbecue celebration really starts cooking in Osage City’s downtown, where the Cruis’n & Cook’n Auto Show will be staged between Fourth and Seventh streets along Market Street. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Saturday and awards will be presented at 2:30 p.m.
The car show, which is hosted annually by the Twin Lakes Cruisers and held in conjunction with Smoke in the Spring, has attracted about 300 entries in the past, lining Osage City’s downtown with all makes and models of cars, trucks, vans, classic, vintage, street rods, rat rods, muscle cars and motorcycles.
For exhibitors registering the day of the show, registration is open until 11 a.m. at Branine Chevrolet.
The historical Gilday’s White Eagle Gas Station will be available for photos of classic cars.
