Recreation update: OCPR fall activities begin

The following activities have begun for Osage City Parks and Recreation’s fall season:

Youth Volleyball Camp

–Open to all 3rd – 6th graders in the Osage City area

–Players will learn floor positioning, passing, serving, setting, and attacking skills

–All players receive a camp shirt and each 6th grader receives a special OCPR volleyball

–Volleyball instructors — Tara Durkin and OCHS volleyball players

–Session dates and time — Mondays, September 9, 16, 23, 30 and October 7 — 6-7pm

–Location, Osage City school gyms

–$25 per person

Youth Volleyball League

–Open to all 5th/6th Grade volleyball teams in the Osage City area

–OCPR is offering a 5th/6th grade recreational volleyball league for area town teams.

–6 team league max

–Teams play a minimum of 4 matches; each match session is an hour and rally score for each point

–No game score is kept, no standings are kept and no awards handed out.

–OCPR supplies the game ball.

–League team fee, $50 per team

–Location, OCHS gym

–League dates & time — Mondays, September 9, 16, 23, 30 and October 7 —7-8pm

Tae Kwon Do

–Fall session, September 9 – December 16

–Little Ninjas (Age 5-7)

—-Monday, 6:30-7:10pm

—-New student, $80 (with uniform & shirt)

—-Additional family member, $65

—-Existing student, $50

—Additional family member, $40

–Open TKD Class (Age 8 & above)

—-Monday, 7:15-8:30pm

—-New student, $125 (with uniform & shirt)

—-Additional family member, $90

—-Existing student, $80

—-Additional family member, $60

–TKD Advanced Class

—-Saturday, 9-10am (As Announced)

–Price includes t-shirt and uniform for all new students, ITA membership for the new TKD students, and belt testing for all qualified students.

–Existing TKD students may be required to renew their ITA membership and are evaluated individually (annual renewal fee)

–Class held at the OCPR Building, 530 S. First Street, Osage City
