Joe F. Casiano III, 69, Osage City: Oct. 29, 1953 – April 21, 2023

OSAGE CITY, Kan. – Joe F. Casiano III, 69, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at his home in Osage City, Kan. He was born Oct. 29, 1953, in Waco, Texas, the son of Joe and Margaret (Palacios) Casiano II.

Joe grew up in Waco and had lived in Sherman, Texas, before moving to Osage City several years ago.

Joe had worked in construction most of his life and had worked at Orbis, in Osage City, for four years. He was a member of the Salt Creek Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, Lyndon, Kan.

Joe was united in marriage to Joy Wheeler, Feb. 3, 2012, in Sherman, Texas.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Margaret; an infant son, Paul Casiano; and two brothers, Johnny Casiano and Manuel “Manny” Casiano.

Joe is survived by his wife, Joy, of the home; four sons, Joe Casiano IV, Daniel Casiano, Charles Casiano, all of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Joe Casiano V, Topeka; stepson, Vincent Lowden, Arkansas City, Kan.; four daughters, Suzan Casiano, Dee “Sissy” Casiano, JoAnna Casiano, and Anna Jo Casiano, all of Ft. Worth; stepdaughter, Karina Cowling, Arkansas City; three brothers, Harry Casiano, Carlos “Candy” Casiano, and Tony Casiano, all of Ft. Worth; sister, Margaret Nona Hernandez, Ft. Worth; and 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at the Salt Creek Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, Lyndon. Inurnment will be in the Alpine Cemetery, Olivet, Kan.
