Recent sheriff’s reports:

At 2:15 a.m. June 3, 2023, an Osage County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation at milepost 12 on state Highway 68, near Quenemo, Kan. During the stop, narcotics were located.

The driver and a passenger were taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail. The driver, William R. Rey, 61, of Belton, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger, Kayla D. Gulley, 56, of Stover, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no drug tax stamp.
