Osage County Sheriff’s reports:

At 12:50 p.m. Aug. 1, 2023, an Osage County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop at East 341st Street and South K-31 Highway, near Melvern, for a traffic violation. During the stop, a K-9 was deployed, and illegal narcotics were located. The driver of the vehicle, Gregory A. Wendt, 60, of Melvern, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. A passenger in the vehicle, Holly D. McGinnis, 52, of Melvern, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking contraband in a correctional facility.

At 1:53 a.m. Aug. 8, 2023, an Osage County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop at milepost 142 on U.S. Highway 75 for a traffic violation. During the stop, illegal narcotics were located. A passenger in the vehicle, Frederick L. Sanders, 51, of Topeka, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
