Osage County Senior Center: Fun and activities for all

Hello from the Osage County Senior Center and Osage County Public Transportation.

We have some things to look forward to in the upcoming months: Blood drive on Feb. 8; Valentine’s Day party; quarter bingo to benefit the CASA program on April 2; the spring craft show on April 13, and a health fair April 25.

Don’t forget the senior center pot luck is at noon the first Wednesday of the month. We’re looking for anyone interested in learning or playing Mahjong, 2:30 on Tuesday afternoons: lessons are going great.

Learn to line dance every Friday at 2 p.m. Ceramics class is $5 per class, most supplies are furnished. High Rollers is on Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons at 2 p.m. Maria from Home Town Health Care is here to call quarter bingo 10 a.m. Tuesdays, come and enjoy.

Shopping trips on the first and third Thursdays of the month going to Topeka Walmart, Sam’s and Aldi’s; call public transportation to make reservations.

I am open to all suggestions for activities and or outings. Don’t forget that the center can be rented as a venue for events; rental fee is $75 a day.
