TOPEKA ­- The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded the boil water advisory for Osage County Rural Water District No. 5.

The boil water advisory was issued Sept. 18 because of the possibility of untreated raw water being pumped directly to the distribution system. Laboratory testing on samples collected indicate no evidence of contamination, and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.
