Visitors to Harveyville for the Sept. 28 fair will have the chance to tour the newly constructed United Methodist Church. The town’s Methodist church was destroyed last year during the Feb. 28 tornado.

The Harveyville United Methodist Church also will host their annual taco salad feed, starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Harveyville Seed Company Quonset, during the Harveyville Fair. Serving will continue until the food is gone. 

Money collected from the dinner will go to No More Malaria, a national UMC mission to help stamp out malaria in countries where thousands die from this disease.

From 3-4:30 p.m., everyone is welcome to stop by and tour the new church at 371 Wabaunsee Street. Cookies and punch will be served!
