Melvern Jr. Highline 4-H Club: April meeting

At 5:05 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the Melvern Community Center, the Melvern Jr. Highline 4-H Club meeting was called to order by President Gradey McNally. The club began the meeting with The Pledge of Allegiance and 4-H Pledge, led by Gradey.

Secretary Bella Reeser called the roll; members and parents were to answer with, ‘Would you rather have candy or chocolate?’ There were 10 members and eight adults present. Bella read the minutes from the previous meeting; they were approved as read. There was no correspondence. Treasurer Braelyn McNally read the treasurer’s report; it was approved as read. Reporter Allie Reeser stated that she had submitted one article to the newspaper. There was no historian’s report.

In the leader’s report, Leader Caleb McNally reminded club members that May 1 is the deadline to enroll in new projects. Leader Lisa Reeser asked each club member who participated in Animal Adventure Camp or Sheep Producers Day to please stand and share what they did and learned there. Lisa also reminded club members and parents to read the club meeting notes. There was no old or new business.

In the program, Gentry McNally did a demonstration on how to make Bubble Bread. In songs, Addy Doviak led the club in singing “Better Place.” At 5:34 p.m., it was moved and seconded to adjourn the meeting.

The Melvern Jr. Highline’s next club meeting will be 5 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the Melvern Community Center.

Members enjoyed snacks provided by the McNally family. For recreation, members enjoyed playing at Melvern Park.
