Sheriff’s reports:

Around 5 a.m. April 30, 2024, an Osage County Sheriff’s deputy investigated a suspicious person in the 500 block of Market Street in Osage City. During the encounter, the subject was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics. Travis W. Hill, 64, of Burlingame, Kan., was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 9:46 a.m. May 2, 2024, an Osage County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 75, near the Carbondale exit, for a traffic violation. During the stop, illegal narcotics and a stolen firearm were located. Michael S. Royer, 43, of Parsons, Kan., was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended, no ignition interlock, no proof of insurance, and transporting an open container.
