Zion Lutheran Church is holding a blood drive on 3-6 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2024, at the church at 23167 Topeka St., Vassar, Kan. Individuals who wish to donate blood must be age 18 or older, and anyone who is 16 or 17 years of age are eligible with a parent’s consent.
Zion Lutheran Church is a Missouri Synod Lutheran Church which is participating in a “Faith at Work” service project, an annual District-wide event in which groups of all ages and skill set find needs within their local communities to serve throughout the year. Zion Lutheran has chosen a blood drive as a service project since every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. The project is meant to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation, and to encourage local citizens to donate regularly.
