Greetings to everyone from Help House!
Summer is moving along, and we have the privilege of sharing a lot of exciting updates with our area churches.
Christmas in July was held throughout the week July 22-26, 2024. It was a great success! Lots of early Christmas decorations were given, which helped our families prepare for this year’s holiday season.
This year’s school supplies were delivered to the grade school children for the 2024-25 school year. Of course, if you should have the opportunity to come across more school supplies for the children, we would love to pass them on to the schools.
We will start collecting coats in September for our October Coat Closet.
We are always blessed to be able to provide the needs of our Osage County residents and neighbors. However, there are some items which are rarely available and are in constant need: shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, laundry soap, dish soap, tissues, paper towels, and band-aids. Other items needed are dry milk, ground meats, cooking oil, spices, various seasonings, flour, various baking items, sugar, and canned fruit.
Households served:
- Help House – July, 175; August, 185.
- Carbondale mobile – July, 162; August, 121.
- Lyndon mobile – July, 214. August, 201.
We welcome the generous donations from our Osage county area and want to encourage people to continue volunteering as often as they can.
